This quest is initiated by speaking to the shield while equipped after completion of the previous quest in the series: Shield of Shadow.
The words glow black on the shield, "Take this shield to the forge of darkness. The great forge inside Graystone. cast the shield into the fire at this place."
Quest Objective:
-Travel to the Forge in Graystone.
-Temper the Shield of Shadow by trhowing it into the forge.
You will more than liekly need a group to get down to teh forge. Soloing is possible for some, but it is painfully slow. Once you see the giant forge with fire pouring into it, stand in the center, and equipe the shield, right click it and viola, recieve the Shield of Darkness! Travel back to Haven's Edge and speak Teryn Valso again. -Kazander
Quest Objective:
-Speak with Teryn Valso
Teryn Valso looks at the shield. "Amazing" he marvels.
Teryn Valso says, "I doubted you'd ever be able to complete the required tasks."
This opens the next quest in the series: Shield of Hatred
