This quest is initiated by obtaining the Unmarked Shield, which can be found off of various named mobs in the Plains of Anguish. Once found, equip the shield and begin killing any undead in the area until the shield speaks and offers you this quest.

Quest Objective:
-Speak with Teryn Valso
Simply speak with Teryn in Havens Edge to advance to acquire knowledge of the shield. -Kazander
Upon completion, the enxt quest: The Path is opened.
